storm

I experienced my first true Indian thunderstorm/blackout last night. I have to say that NC has nothing on India!! I felt like a child being scared of the storm - the thunder was so loud that it just cracks your ears and I definitely let out a few screams. I'm sure it didn't help that I was in a strange apartment in pitch darkness with blowing wind and doors slamming. Wow. It was only 9pm, but I put my earplugs in and a sleeping mask on that they gave me on the plane coming here, and was able to fall asleep after about an hour - my adrenaline was rushing!
